Hello,

I am unable to install the correct driver for my HP Laserject Pro M15a printer. After

a fresh install of Deepin 25, it was working fine.

After all the updates and upgrades (which I do everyday), the printer stopped working.

When I send a print job, the light blinks but nothing happens after that.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

Lim

Thank you for your feedback. The relevant engineers have received the report but are unable to pinpoint the issue due to insufficient information. Please provide the following details so we can troubleshoot the specific problem:
1. Please indicate whether any error messages appear on the computer. If no error is displayed and the printer merely flashes briefly without feeding paper, please provide a detailed description.
2. If an error message pops up on the computer, please specify the message content. Ideally, please provide a screenshot of the error.
3. Please confirm whether the system version is the Community Edition or the Professional Edition.

From my experience, every printer I have tested with Deepin has worked immediately and without any issues.

It is possible, and I'm just making an assumption here, that you did what many Linux users tend to do and tried to install various drivers manually first, such as installing CUPS yourself or something similar. Could that be the case?

Try to keep it simple: connect the printer and switch it on. If it is Wi-Fi capable and your PC is connected to the same Wi-Fi network, simply start the Print Manager and click "Add Printer." Then all you need to do is choose how the printer is connected, whether via USB, network/Wi-Fi, or cable, and that's it.

The printer should then be ready to use.
