First I want to say thank you for welcoming me to the community. I was running Linux bettween 2006-2019. I tried over 40 different Linux distributions, like Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, Open Suse, Manjaro and Linux Mint. I even tried Open Solaris for a while (even though it's not Linux, I had hopes for that system) At the end I went for Ubuntu Mate. But when I started with music production I had to go for WIndows because of the amount of synths and plugins available. But seven years of captivity in Windows and Microsoft was enough. Constant updates and poor sound, even though I have a really good external soundcard (UR44C from Steinberg). But I started with Ubuntu Mate on my Surface Laptop 3, just to read more and more about how excellent Deepin OS is. So I installed Deepin on my laptop. And I was amazed. Then I decided to do ditch Windows on my stationary computer, swipe it clean and install Deepin even there. Since I already had made the switch for music production to Bitwig when I was on Windows, the installation on Bitwigs deb-file on Deepin was really easy. Just one click and I was up and running. But the most amazing is how much lower latency and jitter is in Deepin because of the integrated Pipewire. And not even that. The sound quality in general is way better, both on music production and when I listen to music.
