I was wondering if Deepin could get AI subtitle translation. The one I need the most are hard-coded Chinese subtitles at the bottom of the screen, which you cannot turn off because they are part of the picture itself to English. It's not a simple matter of translating text to another language. I could extract the subtitle file from the mkv and use an online tool to do it beforehand. What I mean here is for the video player to scan the bottom of the mp4 video picture itelf for subtitles using OCR.

While the current version of Deepin's video player doesn't have a built-in feature for real-time OCR and AI translation of hard-coded subtitles, it's a technology that is becoming more accessible. The process you describe—scanning the video picture, using OCR to recognize the characters, and then translating them with an AI model—is technically feasible. This would require integrating an OCR engine and a translation API directly into the media player. While there are third-party tools and scripts that can achieve this, a native, seamless integration would require a dedicated mymilestonecard development effort from the Deepin team or the open-source community to implement this advanced functionality.
