The third Bi-weekly Technical Progress Report in 2025 has been released. This edition comprehensively reviews the work progress made by deepin technical teams over the past two weeks, while also outlining work plans for the upcoming two weeks.

This report aims to provide comprehensive updates for all enthusiasts and followers of deepin, enabling our community to better follow the system's development and actively participate in its evolution. For any feedback or suggestions, feel free to post at Deepin Community Forum(bbs.deepin.org).

DDE

Progress

  • Fixed the issue where the full - screen launcher did not follow the screen where the Dock is displayed.
  • Fixed the issue where taskbar icons did not shrink when there were too many applications.
  • Fixed the issue where taskbar application icons might be incorrectly positioned under specific size conditions.
  • Fixed the issue where the quick settings panel's theme color did not switch with the taskbar's theme color.
  • Adjusted the mouse offset when dragging in the tray area to prevent the mouse pointer from blocking the dragged icon.
  • Fixed the issue where notifications in the notification center sometimes failed to disappear in a timely manner.
  • Fixed existing interface and stability issues in Control Center modules such as display, biometric authentication, personalization, and updates.

Plan

  • Focusing on defect repair, based on feedback from deepin 25 Preview users, we will continue to fix related issues.

System Development

Progress

  • Updated CVE security vulnerabilities.
  • Integrated Zhaoxin - related patches into glibc.
  • Merged upstream LoongArch64 patches for gcc - 12.
  • Updated sway to 1.10.1.
  • Added gcc - riscv64 - unknown - elf and binutils - riscv64 - unknown - elf.
  • Fixed mkosi dependency issues and resolved LoongArch64 installation problems.

Plan

  • Update software packages.
  • Advance the repair of CVE security vulnerabilities.

Linux Kernel

Progress

  • The base code of the 6.6 branch has been updated to 6.6.79.
  • The ARM platform configuration has been streamlined.
  • Issues where ARM and LoongArch64 platforms could not resume from S4 have been fixed.
  • Added support for the Loongson 3C6000 platform.
  • Fixed the issue where the touchpad could not be used on some notebook models of Loongson 3A6000.
  • Incorporated some fixes from upstream for Intel platform support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, I2C, and the scheduler.
