After some recent updates, Virtual Box has stopped running.

When starting it it says that the user needs to sign some modules:

Ruuning /sbin/vboxconfig gives this result:

vboxdrv.sh: Stopping VirtualBox services.
vboxdrv.sh: Starting VirtualBox services.
vboxdrv.sh: You must sign these kernel modules before using VirtualBox:
vboxdrv vboxnetflt vboxnetadp

vboxdrv.sh: Building VirtualBox kernel modules.
vboxdrv.sh: Signing VirtualBox kernel modules.
vboxdrv.sh: failed: modprobe vboxdrv failed. Please use 'dmesg' to find out why.There were problems setting up VirtualBox.  To re-start the set-up process, run
/sbin/vboxconfig
as root.  If your system is using EFI Secure Boot you may need to sign the
kernel modules (vboxdrv, vboxnetflt, vboxnetadp, vboxpci) before you can load
them. Please see your Linux system's documentation for more information.

I have tried signing the modules, but it has not worked.

Example:

sudo  /usr/src/linux-headers-6.6.71-amd64-desktop-hwe/scripts/sign-file sha512  /var/lib/shim-signed/mok/MOK.priv /var/lib/shim-signed/mok/MOK.der /lib/modules/6.6.71-amd64-desktop-hwe/misc/vboxdrv.ko

Many thanks for your answer, but I have tried it, and still no success.

I have tried creating my own key, enrolling the key, checking to see if the key was enrolled, signing the Virtual Box modules and they would not load.

Using the keys from kernel also does not work.

Tip: you may find that after running mokutil to enroll a key, your machine hangs with an error on boot (mok related). Have at hand a bootable USB pen and boot from the USB pen in order to enroll the key and solve the issue.
