    • Deepin Software Center (Deepin Store) stopped working

    Hello Deepin Community,

    I recently installed the latest version of Deepin OS, Deepin 2014.2, but after a few days of using it, I noticed the Deepin Store does not work any more.

    When I click the Deepin Store button on the dock, nothing happens.
    I tried typing "deepin-software-center" from the terminal, and got the error below:

    "conn = sqlite3.connect(database, **kwargs)
    peewee.OperationalError: unable to open database file"

    Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

    I'm running Deepin 2014.2 32 bit on a ThinkPad T60, with an Intel processor T2300 @ 1.66GHz x 2, 3GB of RAM, and 60GB hdd.

    I will sincerely appreciate your help and comments.

    Please execute the following command in terminal:
    1. sudo apt-get install –reinstall deepin-software-center-data

    Hello Maggieszd,

    Please, bear with me, since I'm new to Linux OSes.This is what I get when I tried the command you suggested (sudo apt-get install --reinstall deepin-software-center-data):

    "Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree      
    Reading state information... Done
    Reinstallation of deepin-software-center-data is not possible, it cannot be downloaded.
    0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded."

    Am I missing something?

    Please try to execute the command in terminal:
    1. sudo rm -r /tmp/deepin-software-center; sudo rm /usr/share/deepin-software-center/data/data_newest_id.ini; sudo apt-get install --reinstall deepin-software-center-data

    I followed Iceleaf suggestion, and that fixed the problem with DSC.
