Hey,

I can't figure it out whats wrong with screen brightness settings. The FN keys obviously not working nor the manual adjustment. With Ubuntu it was failed too but with a short .conf file it was perfect. The file looks like that:

sudo touch /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf
sudo gedit /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf

Section "Device"
Identifier "card0"
Driver "intel"
Option "Backlight" "intel_backlight"
BusID "CI:0:2:0"EndSection

Save
Reboot

This config doesn't take any changes, but from terminal I can adjust the brightness with the following code:
  1. xbacklight -set 0-100
Copy the Code

So if I type xbacklight -set 75 the brightness will be 75%.

My laptop is a DELL Inspiron 3537 with an Intel IGP and a Radeon HD8670M onboard. The xbacklight obviously detects the screen but the system can't do anything with it.

Can you guys fix it please? I think it's very important and critical.

Have you tried the brightness control bar under ControlCenter/Display? It works fine for my Thinkpad. My FN keys doesnt work either. I think it is driver problem which has nothing to do with Deepin team.

Ofcourse I've tried but no reaction. Actually it is a problem in Deepin because under Ubuntu when I hit the FN+F3/F4 keys the brightness bar appears...still not working but with the config file above it was perfect. Anyway, I think it is a critical problem because the user don't care about why it is not working or what's wrong (the driver or the system or whatever).
