I can't figure it out whats wrong with screen brightness settings. The FN keys obviously not working nor the manual adjustment. With Ubuntu it was failed too but with a short .conf file it was perfect. The file looks like that:
sudo touch /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf
sudo gedit /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf
Section "Device"
Identifier "card0"
Driver "intel"
Option "Backlight" "intel_backlight"
BusID "
Save
Reboot
This config doesn't take any changes, but from terminal I can adjust the brightness with the following code:
So if I type xbacklight -set 75 the brightness will be 75%.
My laptop is a DELL Inspiron 3537 with an Intel IGP and a Radeon HD8670M onboard. The xbacklight obviously detects the screen but the system can't do anything with it.
Can you guys fix it please? I think it's very important and critical.
