Notification settings have no effect & Order of apps in the list

I don't want to see the desktop notifications when I receive new emails in Thunderbird (flatpak installation) or Spotify (apt from their repo). That's why I've tried disabling the notifications in the control center. This has no effect, however. If I toggle the notifications to off, I still see the popups. I've also tried to turn on the "do not disturb" mode from 0:0 to 23:59, but this also has no effect.
The apps in the list of the notification settings seem to be in order of installation and not alphabetically. It's quite difficult to find apps in there. It would be better if it were in alphabetical order (not sure how you'd do that in Chinese characters, though) and if there was a search field for apps.
