    When I attempt to upgrade to Deepin 20.3 from 20.2.4, the installation freezes and kernel panics. After rebooting, the operating system is corrupted and I have to restore from backup to boot the system. I have included a photo of where the installation freezes as well as the kernel panic that occurs on reboot.

    My PC specifications:

    CPU: Intel Core i7 8700k

    RAM: 24GB DDR4 @ 2400MHz

    Graphics card: Nvidia RTX 2080

    Storage:

    • nvme0n1: Samsung 960 evo 250GB (boot drive with efi, ext4, and NTFS partitions)
    • sda: Samsung 850 evo 1TB (data drive with btrfs partition)
    • sdb: Seagate external HDD 1TB (data drive with btrfs and exFAT partitions)

    Software information: Dual-boot system with Deepin and Windows 11 installed on seperate partitions (both on nvme0n1) - secure boot is enabled

    I am currently running stable 5.13. I can revert to the LTS 5.10 kernel if necessary but is there really no upgrade path for those already on the stable kernel?

    I'm not sure if I understand what you mean

    If you can run well on the LTS kernel, you don't have to use the latest kernel
