Unable to Activate Mobile Broadband Connection with Gobi 4G on HP Elitebook

I'm really struggling getting my built-in broadband device to run.
it also doesnt seem to be recognized by the deepin OS.
Other OS's could set up broadband connections with this computer without any problems..

sudo apt update && sudo apt install modem-manager-gui and try to see if your device appears.
