Weather for tray / or desktop in English for North America

Okay I know weather is built into the system settings in the right hand panel but I think it would be nice to be able to view the weather at a glance on the desktop or in the system tray. I have been looking and there are a few listed on the forums but they are just for China. I was looking at the code so that won't do me any good as there are no North amreican cities that can be picked. Can you guys have a weather app built in to display weather on the desktop like the cinnamon desktop which allows both tray or desktop weather.

I think I answered my own question Gis-weather.deb on sourceforge works in the current setup.
