    Is there any way I can enable extra typographic characters in Deepin 15.1? Also allowing different layouts for individual windows would be very useful.

    I not know of a way of having different layouts for individual windows. Some users mention English (US International with dead keys) and English (International AltGr dead keys) keyboard layout. You can find them in  Control panel keyboard layouts. I have not tried it though.

    Thanks for the reply, I've checked the layouts with the dead keys, however there is no one for Russian I've found.

    Ok, I've figured out. To enable extra typography characters we need to put couple layout options in keyboard settings:

    1. setxkbmap -layout 'us,ru' -variant ',winkeys' -option \ 'lv3:ralt_switch', 'misc:typo'
    Copy the Code


    So, now I can type
    1. AltGr + c
    Copy the Code
    and get
    1. ©
    Copy the Code
    , etc.
