This is the Deepin 15 Battery Meter. You have to mouse over it to see the percentage of charge left on your laptop battery

This is the Battery Meter in Xubuntu. It gives you percentage of battery charge remaining, estimated runtime or estimated charge time. All of this is viewable, with no mouse over

Does anybody have any suggestions for how I might install a better battery meter in Deepin 15? One similar to the Xfce-style in the lower picture?

Deepin window manager is based on Gala. Your screenshot is a xfce4 goodies plugin.. I would check to see what elementary is using.

I hope so

I have swam around the Debian info and it is quite overwhelming. The only joy I had found in Debian was MX-14 (now MX-15). There are a few quirks I don't care for, but that was about the only Debian i could handle. They have a good battery meter, but they also use the Xfce desktop, hence, the Xfce4-goodies for the panel.

With the dawn of Deepin 15 I have hope for Debian ;) . I'm hoping that the Linux users that have been at it a lot longer than I, who are also smarter will chime in with whatever I am missing.
