    Geary mail works quite well in Deepin
    Geary still new but works well, made by same devs as Shotwell

    Geary is currently my preferred and main email client, I use it everyday to manage 11 email IMAP accounts and works very well, fast and light. Unfortunately it's development has terminated about one year ago, due to Yorba's bankruptcy. Let's hope someone picks it up. ElementaryOS has forked Geary into pantheon-mail and is developing it but it seems to be somewhat dependent on Pantheon desktop (ElementaryOS).

    A newer and interesting (beautiful and featureful) alternative is Nylas N1 but it requires your mail to pass through Nylas servers, and I find it very heavy on the resources, not my cup of tea.

    Geary is still new and is a very simple email that just does email. I think they are considering a Asian flavor of Geary that looks nicer.

    Yes but it does it well, simply, beautifully and light on the resources, with good integration with Google Gmail/Apps. Could you elaborate more on the nicer alternative?

    You were right it was N1 after all , I saw foreign characters and thought it was something different. Any way Nylas is in the Deepin store now.
    A lesser know email client that is lighter and quicker then Geary is Trojita a Qt IMAP email client. In 2012 is became part of the kde community, since then the code has been forked into the Canonical's mobile project. Unfortunately there is not a easy way currently to have more than one email account at the same time.
