    I installed Tomboy..my favourite note taking app..The installation went fine..But when I launch Tomboy it doesnt show up....Any issues with priviliges?????

    run tomboy in terminal and watch the output message.

    then
    tomboy --trace
    watch out the terminal output

    I get the same error when I try to run tomboy from the terminal using the --debug or --trace option..

    maybe http://ubuntuforums.org is more suitable for such a hard problem
