Hi Deepin team,

I encountered a serious problem after updating my laptop from deepin 25.1 to deepin 25.2.

The update downloaded and installed normally, but after rebooting the system showed an "Unknown Error" and then entered a bootloop on the Deepin boot/theme screen.

I also tried using Deepin's rollback/recovery option, but unfortunately the rollback results in the same bootloop and the system is still unable to start.

At this point I will probably need to reinstall deepin completely.

Hardware:

  • Intel Core i5 – 11th Gen
  • Intel Iris Xe Graphics
  • 20 GB DDR4 RAM
  • NVMe SSD
  • deepin 25.1 before the update
  • Update target: deepin 25.2

Steps that caused the issue:

  1. System was working normally on deepin 25.1.
  2. Installed the latest update to deepin 25.2 through the normal system updater.
  3. Rebooted the computer.
  4. Received an "Unknown Error".
  5. System became stuck in a bootloop on the Deepin startup/theme screen.
  6. Tried the rollback/recovery feature.
  7. Rollback also boots into the same problem.
