I first discovered deepin around version 15, and since then it has always been one of the Linux distributions I enjoy the most.
What caught my attention was not only the desktop, but how much care was put into the whole experience: installation, boot, animations, Control Center, Dock and all the small visual details.
Over the years I have installed deepin on many different computers, including some very weak and old machines.
One of my favorite experiments was an Acer laptop with a Celeron N3060, only 2GB of RAM and 32GB eMMC storage. I started with deepin 15 and eventually managed to bring that machine all the way to deepin 23.
It needed some work — ZRAM, startup optimizations and cleaning — but seeing such limited hardware running a modern deepin desktop was very satisfying.
Today I still keep deepin as a secondary system and I also like installing it on older computers that are mainly used for browsing, videos and simple everyday tasks.
I don't use Linux for everything because some of the software I need is still Windows-only, but deepin is the Linux desktop I always come back to.
