Hi Deepin team!

I first discovered Deepin with version 15, and one of the things that made the desktop feel so unique to me was the old Deepin Dock.

What I really miss is the classic Dock.

The current taskbar is beautiful and practical, but I would love to have the option to use a real dock again, independently from the taskbar.

For example, it would be great to have:

a taskbar at the top;
a separate floating dock at the bottom;
the option to choose between taskbar mode and classic dock mode;
independent settings for the dock, such as position, size and auto-hide behavior.

I am not suggesting replacing the current taskbar. I would simply love to have the classic Deepin Dock return as an optional layout.

The old Dock was one of those small things that gave Deepin its own personality. It was charming, practical and immediately recognizable as Deepin.

Deepin has always impressed me because it creates its own desktop experience instead of just copying other Linux environments, and I think bringing back the classic Dock as an option would preserve a bit of that identity while keeping the modern interface.

I would really love to see something like this return someday
