Hi! I did some experiments to improve the boot time of deepin 25
My first systemd-analyze result was:
systemd-analyze
48.482s total
The userspace alone was taking about 35.291s, and plymouth-quit-wait.service was taking more than 30 seconds.
35.291s
plymouth-quit-wait.service
I started removing some things that I didn't need at startup, including:
uos-ai-assistant.autostart.desktop
deepin-login-reminder.desktop
vmware-user.desktop
deepin-appstore-checkappupgrade.timer
I also adjusted the boot configuration and Plymouth behavior.
After the changes, one of my later tests showed:
37.346s total
with userspace reduced to about 11.218s.
11.218s
The improvement was very noticeable, especially after login, because the desktop became ready much faster.
I'm still experimenting with deepin boot optimization and trying to keep the system stable instead of disabling everything. :)
Hm, looks that I have'nt an real performance issue on my I5-6500T
