I understand that most users prioritize a beautiful and fast interface, and the Deepin music player excels at that. However, for those of us who work with audio professionally or semi-professionally, sound quality is just as important as visual design. There seems to be a general trend in software development where graphical polish often comes at the expense of audio fidelity. I hope the Deepin team can find a way to combine both – a great-looking player that also delivers the best possible sound.
I should also note that Deepin's audio infrastructure (Pipewire) is already excellent for professional music production. I use Bitwig Studio with Pipewire on Deepin, and the latency, stability, and overall audio performance are outstanding – even better than what I experienced on Windows. So the foundation is already solid. I hope the music player can be updated to match this high standard, especially for users like me who care deeply about sound quality.

Since I have switched from Windows to Deepin for faster and better music production on an OS that is more stable, I often export a track from Bitwig (my DAW of choice) to a wav-file. I want to check the sound quality of my mix and therefore need to see the sample rate and bit depth. Preferrably also the bit rate. I want to compare my songs to other songs that I for example bought on Qobuz.
I had to download and install DeaDBeeF as a musicplayer for that. But it would be nice if the music player for Deepin could handle it.
One thing I noticed is that the same track sounds significantly better when played in DeaDBeeF compared to the default Deepin music player. The sound feels more detailed and open.
I'm guessing this might be due to differences in how the two players handle resampling or if the default player applies some background processing. Is there a technical reason for this? It would be great if the default player could match this level of audio quality, especially for users who are particular about sound fidelity.
