I would like to report some issues with Deepin 25 keyboard. I have Huawei Matebook Pro X laptop. I have been using deepin for 2 years. Right now Iḿ running Deepin 25. My region is Mexico. So my locale (currency, date, etc) are for Spanish - Mexico. I usually use the OS in the english language. Also My laptop don't have an spanish - mexico hardware keyboard distribution. Huawei only sells laptops with spanish - spain keyboard distribution. So this is the current config:
OS English Language
Spanish - Spanin hardware keyboard distribution
Spanish - México (Locale, Currency, Date, etc)
So the installer doesn't allow me to install a spanish keyboard distribution if the language I choose is english. Other distros do allow it. After changing the language to English my laptop keeps changing the keyboard to english while I changed the keyboard in fcitx. Also I have an external wireless english keyboard. It takes about 3 minutes to recognize it and get connected (A long time).
After the english keyboard is recognized the keyboard distribution changes to spanish - spain (That's weird!).
So when I use the laptop keyboard (Spanish - spain) the keyboard distribution changes to english
When I connect the wireless english external hardware keyboard it changes to (Spanish - spain) keyboard distribution.
I have to change manually the keyboard distribution all the time in every window.
If I change to another window it changes again the keyboard distribution. Sometimes it doesn't change until I restart the fcitx service
I created an script that used to work in deepin 23 that would run upon the english keyboard was connected that would tell xinput to change the keyboard distribution for the specific wireless english keyboard hardware. This script seems not to do anything in deepin 25 even if I runs successfully. It seems the fcitx service is doing weird things.
Also I have found that sometimes it defualts the keyboard to pinyin. I don't know what triggers it, but sometimes when I start typing somehting in a window the keyboard starts working in pinyin mode. Attached is my system specific info:
