Suggestion - the text that is on the UI/DDE/taskbar/launch-menu/etc would be better to detect darker wallpapers and switch to a white font to accomodate better visuals. This is done by Windows and some other desktop environments in linux.

Or better yet, make the launcher background lighter.

The icons on the tray (bottom right) along with the date should change too.
