    GNOME 基金会（GNOME Foundation）于 10 月 7 日发布博文，其董事会宣布了裁员、降低成本、人员调动方面的信息。

    该基金会在博文中表示 Caroline Henriksen（创意总监）和 Melissa Wu（社区发展总监）退出 GNOME 基金会员工团队，并启动新一轮的裁员。

    其实他们做的东西太多了，有些没必要。只做好你自己的桌面环境就行了。像你自己的浏览器，图片浏览器，音乐播放器，终端，软件中心，还有你己的办公软件。像这些软件完全是多余的。像这些软件哪个发型版里边都带有。这些不光GNOME是这样，KDE也是这样。就连xFac也是这样。完全是多余的。有了你的桌面管理器和桌面环境。大家需要哪一个软件自己会安装。

    关键是谁没事翻文件夹玩？gnome往桌面上放文件要四步到五部操作，不如KDE和DDE一步到位。
