I guess the latest version of the Deepin still has problems to deal with, so I recommend using the previous version of the Deepin.
As far as I know, AMD processors are well supported after kernel 5.7, and I would suggest you to install 5.8 or 5.10 kernels as provided by Deepin. Also, during initial installation, there is a choice you can make to start from 5.8.14 rather than 5.4.X.
You should install the adapted kernel instead the latest one.
Can I download the 4 suggested kernel deb files 5.8 or 5.10.5 from the repo https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ and then install them with dpkg -i linux - *. deb?
Otherwise where can I find the kernel files for Deepin I need?
With Synaptic I found only 2 files (Linux-image ... and Linux-hearders ... 5.10.5) and some guides recommend installing them (with apt install)
Which of the two methods do you recommend?
Thank you all for your patience
Hello I had installed deepin from iso 20 1002 and is currently updated to 20.1 1030.
After the last big update Deepin with kernel 5.4.70 does not start while I have no problems if I select the kernel 5.4.50.
I would like to try to install the last (5.11) or the penultimate Kernel (5.10.5) to try to solve the problem and I would not want to abandon Deepin.
Do you have any solution ??
THANKS
I must add that booting to USB with iso 20.1 1030 the computer freezes after a few seconds. Key fully functional on other computers.
The machine is a Lenovo G505s A8 with 8Gb RAM, dual HD 7640G and HD 8570M Radeon AMD graphics card.
THANKS
