    Hi,

    I've installed Deepin 20 but the AMD Rx 560 GPU is still not supported, therefore there's no 3D acceleration. I tried to install Liquorix but it failed because they don't have a Release file for Deepin.
    I tried to follow this article but it failed with the following:
    1. Preparing to unpack .../firmware-amd-graphics_20200918-1~bpo10+1_all.deb ...
    2. Unpacking firmware-amd-graphics (20200918-1~bpo10+1) ...
    3. dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/firmware-amd-graphics_20200918-1~bpo10+1_all.deb (--unpack):
    4. trying to overwrite '/lib/firmware/amdgpu/banks_k_2_smc.bin', which is also in package linux-firmware 1.187

    I also tried to compile liquorix from source but it returned
    1. [ERROR] Docker is not installed, cannot continue!

    even though I installed docker.

    What can I do?


    EDIT:

    Here are a few other things I tried since posting this:

    Installing the latest stable kernel, 5.7.0-0.bpo.2-amd64, from Debain's buster-backports repository. It still doesn't have 3D - and hardware acceleration support (see attached screnshot). Without these, I can't run any VM as they're very slow and unresponsive.
    Downloading the official driver installer from AMD's site required some hacking to get past the
    1. Unsupported DEB-based OS: /etc/os-release ID 'Deepin'

    error (write |Deepin after ubuntu|linuxmint|debian at line 146). After the initial check, it runs into the following error:
    1. amdgpu : Depends on: amdgpu-lib (= 20.40-1147286) which has no installation candidate
    2. amdgpu-lib32 : Depends on: amdgpu-lib (= 20.40-1147286) which has no installation candidate or
    3.                               amdgpu-lib-hwe (= 20.40-1147286) de az nem telepíthető

    18.                               Depends on: libdrm-amdgpu-amdgpu1 which has no installation candidate

    I had the same issue with Deepin 15 when I was told to wait until Deepin 20. Should I wait until Deepin 25? Or Deepin 35?


    Jokes aside, what else can I do?
