    Hi,
    As the title says the default audio port/device automatically switches to HDMI port when an external monitor is connected. I tried many solutions but nothing working. Help to solve this. Your help will be appreciated.

    What about if not connected to external monitor?

    Try alsamixer command and check/set default sound card device:
    1. alsamixer -V all

    This actually worked for me. Solution . Now the auto-switching doesn't work.
