Hello,

I have an external monitor that I connect my laptop to. Whenever I  disconnect it, to use laptop regularly, I get small ("broken") GUI (everything becomes small)
I have to restart my notebook for the GUI to look good again.
I know the problem is that my notebook has a higher resolution... (the monitor)... but I don't know how to resolve the problem.

Opening System Monitor and restarting dde-launcher, dde-dock, etc... resolves the problem; but I have to restart everyone of these (and I don't know which ones to restart).

Is there a way to restart the whole of the GUI (at once), so that I get my GUI to work correctly, without restarting my device?

PS: sorry for the long post!

You can log out and log in. It is much quicker.

  1. sudo systemctl restart lightdm
Copy the Code

You can also use this command. It restarts Deepin Desktop Environment.

Hello again.
executing the command essentially logs out...
the problem is I have to close everything
can you please tell me if there is a way to restart all deepin GUI?

Please note resart dde-dock makes it appear correctly, so it seems like this (restarting all GUI elements) does work.
Maybe there is a way to do it? maybe a script? an app?
