Dear all,

I own a Dell OptiPlex 5070 on which I would like to use Deepin 15.11. I use the onboard graphics with a 4k monitor. The configuration works under Windows without problems.

Unfortunately, with Deepin I have a black stripe in the lower part of the screen with about 60 pixels height, as the enclosed photos show. For testing I tried several other Linux distributions - all work without problems.  Only Deepin shows a black area at the bottom of the screen, even during installation, the login process and on the desktop. I tried to install native Intel drivers, but failed.

My hardware configuration:
Intel i7-i9700
RAM: 32GB
PCIe NVMe SSD: 1TB:
SATA SSD 500GB

I have no way to change the resolution in the Deepin settings. The only option that is displayed is 3840x2160. Apart from this black stripe, there is no image interference whatsoever.

Can someone please help me? Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this problem

Thank you very much and best regards from Austria :-)
Julius

Are you using display scaling? If so play around with the scale factor, if it changes, then it's a known bug. Maybe v20 has it fixed.

Can you post the output of:
  1. lspci | grep VGA
  2. grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Copy the Code

Thank you very much for the answers.

@jigglywiggly:

Unfortunately changing the scaling does not change anything.

@deepinuser17:
