    can I have the date on my dock ?  right now all I have is the time , and would like to have the date in a number format  8/18/18 or  Aug 18 ;

    I knew that but I was hopping and could keep it on dock like in windows

    sorry to be a bother but I don't what to do , I type the command " sudo apt-get install dde-dock-dev "  and in the terminal it appears to be install , so what do I do next.
