Dear ones,

Can I upgrade LinuxDeepin into the latest kernel version (3.12.4)?  Would it cause any trouble or unstable functioning of Linuxdeepin 2013 release?...

Greetings from Chile, South America.

If you have installed closed source drive of AMD or Nvidia, you should be careful with that!
There may will be conflict between closed source drive and latest kernel version.

Thanks for your reply,

Nividia or AMD are not my case, I am running a Lenovo T400 with Intel graphics, but I was worried if a change or upgrade to a new kernel could affect LinuxDeepin 2013 version or its  deskptop or GTK and Gnome fork???..
I will try upgrading now and I will let you know how I did..or if I screw  upLinux Os Deepin 2013.

Best wishes.

yeah I did it following this review and instructions, downloading this kernel upgrade from Ubuntu repositories ( http://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/201 ... ntu-linux/).  LinuxDeepin 2013 seems to be working as regular, no unexpected messages or  any bug error window, so far. And it is working faster, and  will check the consume of battery time..maybe it is better and saves more battery energy in time.
Hugs, the best.

Great! I heard that the battery management will be better in new kernel. It seems that it's true.
