    My wife's laptop will not shutdown. You click on shutdown or restart and it freezes the laptop/mouse and will not shutdown. One needs to forcefully power off. Please help, I do not want my wife to be bitchin more about it....

    have u ever tried the " sudo poweroff"   in the terminal ?

    No. I haven't tried "sudo poweroff". Here's the thing, my wife shouldn't be powering off every time by going to the terminal and typing "sudo poweroff". The laptop should poweroff normally.
