    I tried installing it using the instructions from this page: https://github.com/zfsonlinux/zfs/wiki/Debian

    and I get an error when building the zfs.ko kernel module.

    ZFS version in default repository is too old (0.6.5.11), and it is only compatible with 2.6.32 - 4.12-rc3 Linux kernels.
    You need to download and install latest zfs packages from Debian testing repository manually.
