    • Sound not working since I upgraded end of last year

    Guys  , I need some help.  I only get one option for speaker and no other in the control center. The speakers sound doesn't work neither any thing else.
    Where can one manually adjust the output. My sound is really messed.  Am using a Dell Inspiron laptop.

    Before the upgrade of deepin packages, my sound had been working until I upgraded. I have tried to use alsamixer to activate my sound but in vain. I would really appreciate any help to settle this issue ...

    after updating deepin movie, I have been able to get sound for only deepin movie. However am not able to get sound for notifications, browser or any application.

    Sounds like a volume setting issue. When an application is playing sound, click the volume icon on the system tray, there is a global volume as well as per-application volumes.

    if you ever used external devices, such as hdmi, you have manually switch back to laptop speaker in the control center

    Hi, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the volume icon  on the system tray graphically seems to work but has no effect to the volume whatsoever. And when I try to use the  Advanced volume settings in the control center, I only see the speaker as the only available option.

    unfortunately I don't have any other options for selection in the advanced volume settings. The only option displayed there is the "speaker". The said speaker does not even work and I don't get any options "output" and "input"

    suddenly the sound that was working on deepin movie stopped. I had noticed that the sound options had populated  over output and input. By the time the sound stopped on the deepin movie applications the sound options on output and  input had vanished.  This is really frustrating.
