One way would be to create manually a desktop file for the application.

When you save this file in /usr/share/applications/ or ~/.local/share/applications/ directory it will appear in the start menu under the category you've specified in the file. From there you can right click and add to startup. You will find those apps that start up at ~/.config/autostart directory.

Apps that are installed via the Deepin Stor or packet manager can be added to startup easily by right clicking on them and selecting "Add to startup".
But what about apps that I installed manually and that do not show up in the start menu ? For example I installed the Nextcloud client to /usr/bin/, how do I add it to startup ?
