That's an format which isn't widely used.
I never heard about it before your post.
Deepin movie player supports the common formats like MP4 but not that special thing.
VLC Player supports nearly every format,you could try that.
Probably you can find it in the repositories: sudo apt-get install vlc

I known about VLC, but may be developers add support for MTS?
This format use Panasonic and Sony camcoders by default.
I can switch camcoder to MP4 format, but quality is low. This is not a variant.
