problem type:
mouse problem on VMWare Workstation Player

description:
I have upgraded deepin to the latest stable version of deepin (15.4.1).
When I start deepin a graphical frame appears and it notices that I am running deepin as a Virtual Machine and that could be a lack of performance.

The problem is that I cannot proceed to the next steps of the frame, because my USB mouse doesn't move anymore and my keyboard doesn't do nothing when I press Enter, Space.

I can only switch to Terminal mode to shutdown the operating system.
Fortunately I was running a Virtual Machine (and I have a backup of the operating system in the state before the update) so I can switch to the last working state.

Please remove that graphical frame automatically after a brief delay (i.e. five seconds).

Solution:
If you have the image of the Virtual Machine in the state before the buggy update, simply repeat the update (the bug has been fixed by the developers).
If you don't have the image of the Virtual Machine in the state before the buggy update, simply do the following steps: >>>

  1. CTRL+ALT+F2 and digit: sudo rm /usr/lib/deepin-daemon/dde-welcome && sudo reboot
Copy the Code

<<<

ever tried this ?
https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1014294

lack of vmware tools is often a source of malfunctionning parts (video, auidio, usb, ...).

Yes, I have installed VMWare Tools but I cannot use my USB components in 15.4.1 and this operating system is very frustrating....

manjaro deepin update works. So I can use the deepin components of the version 15.4.1 in manjaro deepin without problems in VMWare Workstation Player.

I had the problem with running 15.4.1 on VirtualBox. The most recent updates fixed my problem.  As a workaround, you can rename dde-wm-chooser to make it working.

See this bug report: https://github.com/linuxdeepin/dde-session-ui/issues/19

It is fixed in the new version. You have to delete the login welcome file. Wait the next iso or just erase it using tty:
CTRL+ALT+F2 and digit: sudo rm /usr/lib/deepin-daemon/dde-welcome && sudo reboot

I had the image of the Virtual Machine in the state before the update (deepin 15.4) so I have tried to update the operating system again and the update works now.
Thank you very much!
Now I can use again deepin as a Virtual Machine!
Great!
