I installed Deepin OS yesterday, and the first thing I noticed was it was not running smoothly.
here are my laptop specs

Lenovo Z40-75
AMD A10 processor 1.9ghz
8GB RAM
1TB HDD, (60gb for deepin, dual booted with windows 7)
Radeon R6 GPU

Problem:
1. Animations were laggy, minimizing and maximizing folders or Chrome was very low frame per second.
2. Delay in opening programs, when I click Deepin File Manager it takes about 3-4 seconds for it to open.
3. Deepin Store is worse, opening and browsing the apps in the store was very slow, scrolling the pages in the store is very laggy, like about 3 frames per seconds.
4. Browsing the web is terrible, every webpage I go to is very laggy, scrolling with the touchpad isn't smooth, video playback is also low fps.

Other info:
1. Surprisingly opening any of the WPS programs are smooth.
2. Steam is also smooth.
3. I have TLP installed

I really like the design of Deepin OS and I hope there is a workaround to this problem

Sometimes it feels like my old HDD was faster than my SSD.
Writing operations are very slow and reading isn't much faster than the HDD too.
But as long as nothing is read or written,Deepin works fine.
I recommend the application profile-sync-deamon.
It stores your browser data where much is written at your memory.
After some time it syncs it back to your HDD.
That reduces write operations and improves speed very much.
I didn't believe that this should make something better first but it really works!
It's available in the Arch Linux AUR but it should work on Deepin too.
In the worst case you will have to compile it yourself but that isn't that difficult.

PantherPuma,Syandll, Lineme, Are you sure than buying an SSD will fix that problem about low fps?
I don't think so, probably wasted money.

We need more info, such if you have dual system; When using windows 7Do you  suffer the same problem? If answer is no, then option of buying new hardware should be discarded.

It sounds more like a graphic linux system related problem.
Hope this helps kerupukmoe

I ...

Animations on Windows 7 isn't lagging.
Startup on Windows 7 takes about a minute.

Then kerupukmoe as I imagined buying new hardware would be a waste of time and money. Anyways not sure what problem can be, perhaps is related with the graphics card controller driver.
