Hi,
as Italian comunity Administrator, I decided to improve community contribution by start a project: install and try other Linux Distros and identify something to implement in Deepin.
Due to three different italian community location (FB, G+ and Telegram), I decided to collect all feedbacks as comment in this topic, and I will open a Deepin User Feedback for each of them.
Please do the same for all other local communities.

The feedbacks will have the following structure:
---------
  • Title: a short and well designed title
  • Description: a long descripion of any features we would like to see in Deepin;
  • Images: attached images to explain the request;
  • OS Sources: e.g. Elementary OS
  • Owner of the feedback: example name and surname of an user;
  • Deepin user Feedback link: the url of final report on community website.

Italian Deepin Community:
- Facebook
- Google Plus
- Telegram

Title: Set the timezone successfully (Manjaro, Debian and openSUSE set timezone properly).

Description:
deepin 15.4 64bit doesn't set the timezone (and time) successfully when virtualized in VMWare Workstation Player.
Oracle SQL Developer (running on the latest stable build of Java 8) doesn't connect to the Oracle database if the timezone is not set by the operating system successfully.
The CXF implementation of the JAX-WS framework doesn't send SOAP Requests that are certified with a key, when the timezone is not set by the operating system successfully.

Solution:
I have set the timezone by terminal
I have changed the time by using the GUI (Deepin Desktop Environment)

OS Sources: deepin 15.4

Feedback: http://feedback.deepin.org/feedback/detail/4529
Owner of the feedback: Blogghete

-----------------

How to set the timezone in Debian based os:
URL: https://askubuntu.com/questions/323131/setting-timezone-from-terminal

I've followed the instructions of this post: >>>
The easy way to update the timezone is to use sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata. But this isn't so easily scripted.

If you want to set the timezone explicitly via a script (e.g. for setting up a VM), here's a recipe:

Set a variable for the timezone you want, e.g. one of

tz=Europe/London
tz=America/Anchorage
tz=Etc/GMT+6
Valid values are the directories and filenames under /usr/share/zoneinfo.

Then simply

sudo cp -vf /usr/share/zoneinfo/$tz /etc/localtime
echo $tz | sudo tee /etc/timezone
Note that both /etc/localtime and /etc/timezone must be consistent.

Probably now reboot to get all your services updated too (e.g. cron).
