    how can I set the list view as default for the Deepin Filemanager?

    Close Deepin File Manager when you switch to list view ,your chioce will be remembered.

    Yes but first you have to switch to list view for every single folder. Exhausting.

    Yes ... would be nice to have this implemented across all folders as default ... icon view could be made as an option.
    in the meanwhile a temporary fix(workaround) is most appreciated from the development team...

    By discussion, there will be one view mode as default, either icon view or list view.
    Someone needs icon view and others needs list view.
    We will stay in icon view and you can customize whatever you want to change.

    You can set List view as default in Deepin Filemanager V1.6 now.
