How to get desktop icons?

I want desktop icons of My computer and trash. I am using efficient mode but there are no desktop icons. Desktop icons really help doing things fast.How can I add these two desktop icons?

Hi. Just open to your apps with the app launcher. Then go to the trash app icon and right click on it to get the menu, and then click on send to dock. Do the same for any app that you wish to add to dock. Good luck.
