What's the file manager do you use? Did you create a new user account? It might be caused by the settings of other file mangers, such as nemo, thunar.

2016-07-25 04:55 deepin Thank you bobo... as you predicted, it's because I have/had Nemo installed as well (Ijust so looooove the Dual Pane use). So now I'm off to figure out how to replace the default file browser that comes with Deepin
