    • Blue flower icon with four pedals in the Dock..?!

    What deos the little blue icon to the left in the dock do that kind of looks like a blue flower with four pedals..? I click on it but nothing happens{

    I believe it shows which apps are currently running, or running in the background. Mine usually shows  the chrome and google hangouts icons when the cursor hovers over it, for I let chrome and hangouts run in the background. I must right click on it to exit those apps. But, strangely, those are the only icons that I have seen on it.
