First of all greetings!

Hardware: HP Probook 4530s, 2410m/HM65, HD3000/1366x768, BIOS F.60.
Setup: Running osx 10.11.4 with clover installed to efi partition. Prior to installing deepin I successfully ran linux mint alongside osx on the same ssd.

Installation: I created an installer usb via dd method, booted deepin from efi file and installed it to a formatted ext4 partition and set a mount point. I checked the uefi bootloader option in deepin installer. Deepin successfully created a directory on the efi partition named deepin and populated it with grubx64.efi file. So far so good.

Upon rebooting, clover gui doesn't show an entry for deepin. When I try to boot from efi file the grub shell opens (grubx64.efi) and I can write commands to it. However when I try the command boot it tells me that I need to load a kernel first.

I think the problem is that the deepin directory in efi partition isn't complete. When I installed linux mint in the same fashion it created numerous files:
grub.cfg
grubx64.efi
MokManager.efi
shimx64.efi

I tried to adapt the grub config file for deepin but to no avail. Currently I'm unable to boot deepin. Would anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction? I'm kinda lost.

Hi, Welcome to the Deepin Forum. I would check to see if you can boot the usb installer in the failsafe mode. From there you might be able to access the Deepin User Feedback tool in the applications menu.

Hmm. How does the user feedback tool help me boot deepin from the partition?

Possibly one of the community members here can help you with a install on a  uefi/clover boot loader setup. If not the Deepin User Feedback tool will alow you to post the question directly to Deepin and they will respond if you provide a email .

No, I didn't. I booted from EFI which shows the grub menu, and there only the option to boot the installer is present. Thank you, already submitted the problem to user feedback, let's see what happens.

I have similar setup: OSX 10.11.5, Deepin and Windows all on UEFI and same exact problem. Installation was the same but I've done before installing OSX. Clover EFI won't detect deepin at all. OSX detect Deepin partition named as linux but I can't access it at all. I booted Deepin in safe mode from USB and tried to fix grub2 with sudo update-grub,  grub-install /dev/hda but it just gives me error. How can I fix it? Miss my Deepin

Greetings !
I don't know if you could do this using an UEFI config. in your mainboard, but in Legacy/CSM I have inserted Deepin 15 in a pendrive using UNetbootin instead of Deepin USB Creator (I have problems with this app and my pendrives), and UNetbootin makes you a different GRUB menu, but whith the option "Install" and "Failsafe" from Deepin.
Anyway, you could boot a live-cd / pendrive with Ubuntu If you have too much problems, and here you can repair GRUB in your SSD to boot all OSs you have installed.
And to end, you can use a bootable drive with Super Grub Disk, a tool to not only recover GRUB, but also to boot any legacy/uefi entry in your hard drive. I would try this the first.

Sorry for getting back so late on this topic. This problem was introduced to the bugtracker as soon as I reported it. Apparently last month a developer replied to it and closed the bug as solved. I will probably try it out at some point, but am currently using a different distro.

For anyone interested here is a link to the site on bugzilla

I have a similar problem while installing to an old 2017 MacBook pro. The installation is a breeze, but when I reboot, it doesn't launch.
