I have just installed Deepin 15. I have a Lenovo x230 laptop with intel hd4000 graphics. It was previously running 14.3 ok. In driver manager it says unknown and then intel-microcode version 3.20151106.1. It gives me the option to not use the device. The system seems to be working ok, but is slower than 14.3. It flashes up an error before the log on screen, but it is too quick for me to read what it says. Is this something I need to be concerned about? It didn't happen with 14.3.

Also has crossover been removed in deepin 15? Can't see it anywhere. Thats a shame if it is no longer available as it was one if the features of deepin I liked the most.

I have used Playonlinux which seems to be working ok. Actually Steam for windows works better under Playonlinux than it did under crossover!

I use the intel-microcode driver and it works fine for me.
You can manage your drivers  from the driver manager in your applications.

Yes it came up for me, but still even when using it performance is worse than with 14.3. Am using ubuntu 14.04 now and it is much faster and all hardware is recognised abd w

Also when Steam wasn't in the store, so I downloaded the deb from the steam homepage. It installed ok, but everytime it runs it says steam is out of date, even though it is the latest version. The same deb file run on Ubuntu and I don't get this message.

Fair enough, I will try deepin again in the future, but for now I think I will stick with Ubuntu.

Well, steam from deepin repo is packed for debian. I'm sure it's ok if works for you, if you use original from the steam site too. Point is that if software is not in the shop, you can still try install it from the terminal.

Yes I did use the terminal, but my point is there was much more software available in the store on 14.3 because it used ubuntu. I have nothing against using the terminal, but it seems a backward step to me when it was easier gor new users before.

Ubuntu may be more user friendly, but the main reason I switched to Deepin 15 is because they did  back to Debian.
The complicated apps that I have did not work correctly in the latest versions of ubuntu

Oh that's fair enough, for me as a relative new user, I just want something that works and on my hardware at least Ubuntu is giving me the best performance. That said I am still very fond of the deepin and will try it again in the future.
