Introduction
Documents writing is primarily to provide community document support for deepin project. It mainly has the following roles:
Community Developer: Responsible for writing documents on conventional techniques and skills and generally occupied by community developers.
Official Developer: Responsible for writing official documents of deepin project and generally occupied by official developers.
News Writer: Responsible for writing major events and news on deepin project and generally occupied by community members.
Document Administrator: Responsible for sorting out all documents and generally occupied by community members and official staff.
It cannot be said which role is better or worse among the above four roles. In what identity you will be involved in document management finally depends on your own abilities entirely. deepin Document Management Team is expecting you to join!
Duties
Document management work is mainly on team building and document writing. The routine work is as follows:
To build document management team and call on more people to join it.
To write files for help which are easy to understand for average users.
To write documents on the general skills under Linux for average users.
To write professional and perfect development documents for developers.
To record the major events of deepin project and write news on deepin project.
To provide suggestions on software or system in some areas like security and performance.
To sort out all the documents, unify the standard and ensure the quality.
To cooperate with the internationalization work to finish the translation and integration work of documents’ internationalization.
Participation
If you hope to participate in document management work, please do read "deepin Community Declaration" to understand the spirit advocated by deepin community first and then to participate in this work. At present, the document management project is mainly carried out in the following section:
Support
The smooth flow of information is the key to document management work to be carried out successfully and effectively. You can choose from the following channels for support:
To have special group member identity and higher forum permissions.
To be on deepin contributors list.
Outstanding members will get a souvenir from deepin.
Assessment
Being familiar with Linux system.
Being good at integrating and writing articles.
Having sufficient time to improve Wiki.
Being friendly, patient and careful in work.
Being familiar with one or more foreign languages (bonus item).
When your application is not passed, there must be an interval of 15 days between your first application and your second application if you want to apply again.
