I downlaoded Thunderbird 102 and run it from an executable file. I didn't want the flatpak or deepoin store version as they are Thunderbird version 115 which I don't like. Thunderbird runs OK but the desktop shortcut icon is the file icon with a couple of gears on it. I have found the proper icons in the Thunderbird icon folder but can't see how to change the desktop icon properties to the correct icon?

On windows I would just right-click the desktop shortcut and change the icon in the properties menu. Can any one help?

Thanks

There are no Thunderbird executable installers per se in Linux. What exactly have you installed? The Windows version with Wine, perhaps?
