    I was trying to install some software, and the process, (part of what) I did, I issued the command: sudo apt -f install
    which resulted in this (mess!):
    1. Reading package lists... Done
    2. Building dependency tree      
    3. Reading state information... Done
    4. Correcting dependencies... Done
    5. The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:

    Press Ctrl + Alt + F3. This will lead you to text terminal. You can log in from there.
