Hello

I have Deepin 15.6 whose control centre does not seem to have anything for bluetooth.
I have installed a Blueman but I still cannot make the bluetooth working.
I am trying to connect to an external Bluetooth speaker.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Leo

1. Make sure your bluetooth driver is installed and is working correctly,

2. Install Stacer from the deepin store, and make sure the bluetooth service runs on boot.

Thank you for your suggestion.

How do I know bluetooth driver is installed?

Secondly, Deepin Appstore is not working properly for me. I am in Hong Kong, I cannot open Deepin Appstore in my browser, so I cannot try Stacer. I will try again later.

Cheers,
Leo

Welp, first type this in your terminal to check if the kernel even detected your Bluetooth chip.

Hello,

What are you suggesting to type in the Terminal? Your suggestion seems to have missed out in your last feedback back.

BTW, my bluetooth chip is from Mediatek.

Thanks,
Leo

Use systemctl to check whether bluetooth service is running.
Show your blueman screenshot.

Hello,

I tried the following in my terminal ....

***************************************
lawman@lawman-PC:~$ sudo systemctl status bluetooth
● bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service
Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)
   Active: inactive (dead)
     Docs: man:bluetoothd(8)
***************************************

And then I tried both the following commands in view of starting bluetooth, but I still cannot get the bluetooth service active.
systemctl reload-or-restart bluetooth
systemctl start bluetooth

Is there more tick I can try?

Cheers,
Leo
