Hi all,

I've recently installed Deepin 15.5 (64bit version) on my machine.

All is working great except the OS is only detecting 3.3gb of 8gb (2 x 4gb sticks) RAM I have installed.

I've tried running the following commands:

# dmidecode 3.1
Getting SMBIOS data from sysfs.
SMBIOS 2.8 present.

The BIOS also detects 8gb rather than 3.3gb

Any ideas how to get Deepin to detect  / use the full amount of RAM installed on the system?

Thanks in advance,
Conor

So it's an OS bug? Weird thing is I've tried it on other distros in the past couple of days and the issue is the same on all Linux distros.

Anyone know why this is?

Conor :-)

No meu tambem não detecta o total completo de RAM. Minha memoria RAM é de 4 Gb, e meu S.O Deepin15.5 Desktop só detecta 3.83 Gb.

Hi Snowcley,

This usually means that the remaining RAM is being used by a video card or other hardware. It's completely normal, don't worry :-)

Still have no idea what the issue what the issue is on my end.
