Edit your /etc/default/grub file.
Add the nomodeset option to the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="..." boot parameters, so that you don't have to do it every time from grub command line.
sudo update-grub
then to take effect.

I'm trying to install Deepin but I get a black screen after Grub menu. It seems that my monitor loses signal and the monitor power LED flashes.
I did however get to the Deepin UI and install the OS through using the failsafe option.
Now I'm back where I started; screen after Grub menu, monitor power LED flashes. I can only get in if I edit the Grub command with "nomodeset" everytime.
I know its a graphics driver issue, and I need some help around this.
I have an AMD HD5770 card.
Any help would be appreciated.
